Compliance Specialist

This role is designed to assess and mitigate risks associated with regulatory compliance in various industries.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively, and a proven track record of identifying and addressing potential issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement testing programs to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and risk management processes.
  • Analyze data and identify areas for improvement, providing recommendations for corrective action.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to develop and implement remediation plans to address findings and prevent future issues.
  • Train and mentor colleagues on relevant knowledge and practices to ensure a culture of compliance within the organization.
Requirements:
  • 6+ years of experience in internal audit, regulatory compliance or banking/financial institutions, preferably with Anti-Money Laundering background.
  • Academic Background: Good academic qualification with experience in compliance or legal with Anti-Money Laundering knowledge preferred.
  • Chartered Accounts, CPA, CIA, ACAMS, MBA and individuals with certifications in audit are preferred.
Functional Skills:
  • Strong internal control and validating testing skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
