Job Title: Senior Ruby on Rails Developer

We are seeking a seasoned expert in Ruby on Rails to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate should have extensive hands-on experience with the framework, and a strong command of its ecosystem.

The successful applicant will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining efficient, scalable, and reliable web applications using Ruby on Rails.

A deep understanding of ActiveRecord, PostgreSQL, and object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts is essential for this role.

Additionally, the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable web applications using Ruby on Rails.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Ensure high performance and responsiveness of applications.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in Ruby on Rails development.
  • Strong understanding and practical experience with ActiveRecord.
  • Solid experience working with PostgreSQL (data modeling, indexing, query optimization).
  • Excellent grasp of OOP principles and design patterns.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience or working knowledge of React.js or other front-end frameworks.
  • Familiarity with GCP (Google Cloud Platform) and cloud-native application development.
