Job Title

We are seeking a skilled Ruby on Rails Developer to join our team.

  • About the Role:
  • This is an exciting opportunity for a senior software developer to lead the development process and ensure high-quality code that meets performance requirements.
  • The ideal candidate will have expertise in Ruby on Rails, JavaScript with React capability, SQL, and databases.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Design, implement, and unit test new features within agreed timeframes
  2. Ensure code adheres to performance requirements of a SaaS product
  3. Build front-end software using React/Javascript according to visual designs provided by UX team
  4. Implementation of corresponding backend model software using Ruby on Rails
  5. Maintenance of existing application including fast resolution of customer raised issues
  6. Writing of unit tests to ensure high-quality code
  7. Collaborate effectively with product design team, QA, and other stakeholders to understand user needs
  8. Estimation, self-planning, and self-managing tasks as a developer within an Agile team
  9. Technical documentation of process and software changes when necessary
  10. Protect confidential data and ensure information security protocols are followed
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's and/or master's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related technical discipline
  • 3-9 years professional software development experience
  • Proficiency in Ruby on Rails, JavaScript with React capability desirable, SQL, and use of databases
  • CI/CD technologies (Gitlab an advantage)
  • Knowledge of SaaS application architecture and design with Azure knowledge desirable
  • Knowledge of software engineering and best practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source code control, build processes, testing, and operations
