**Affordable Housing Audit Expertise**

This role is part of our assurance team, supporting clients across the US in a hybrid global delivery model.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead audits for Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) and HUD-funded projects, ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Review financial statements, audit workpapers, and compliance reports to identify areas for improvement.
  • Drive client engagements and ensure timely delivery of high-quality audit results.
  • Provide strategic guidance on risk mitigation, internal control assessments, and compliance monitoring.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver excellent service and insights to clients navigating complex affordable housing regulations.
  • Mentor and train audit staff on LIHTC/HUD-specific audit procedures to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Stay current with industry trends and legislative changes impacting affordable housing to provide expert advice.
  • Utilize data analytics to improve audit quality and client insights, driving business growth.

Requirements:

  • CPA or CA certification required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on affordable housing or LIHTC engagements.
  • In-depth knowledge of affordable housing regulations and HUD audit protocols.
  • Experience with audit platforms such as CaseWare and data analytics tools.
  • Ability to work effectively in a global delivery model and manage cross-border teams.
