About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Commis/Prep chef to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering high-quality food and excellent customer service.

Main Responsibilities
  • To produce all necessary food for all food service operations in the correct time frame as required and instructed by the Sous chef or Chef de Partie.
  • To monitor and maintain consistent food standards and quality during all stages of production and supply.
  • To ensure that the cleaning of the kitchen and staff food service areas is to the agreed standard.
  • To maintain quality and quantity control in all aspects, from portion control to freshness of the product presented.
  • To ensure stock rotation and use by dates for the production are followed.
  • To liaise with the team to coordinate ordering and mise-en-place.
Requirements
  • Prior experience as a Commis/Prep chef is highly desirable.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; a team player.
  • Able to work in a high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to display a real passion for food.
