Our organization seeks a seasoned Database Performance Specialist to provide high-level support for complex database performance requirements. This position is ideal for an individual with extensive experience in Oracle database systems, focusing on optimization, query tuning, and architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough analysis and implement strategies to optimize Oracle database performance, ensuring seamless operations.
  • Perform advanced query tuning and rewrite complex queries to enhance execution efficiency.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and resolve critical database performance bottlenecks.
  • Develop and implement effective performance-tuning strategies, tools, and processes.
  • Monitor and report performance metrics using sophisticated tools like AWR, ASH, and ADDM.

Qualifications:

  • At least 6 years of experience in Oracle database performance optimization and tuning.
  • In-depth understanding of Oracle Database Architecture, including SGA, PGA, and background processes.
  • Proven expertise in Oracle Database Performance Tuning using advanced tools like SQL Trace and TKPROF.
  • Strong proficiency in Query Tuning, encompassing execution plan analysis and index optimization.
  • Expertise in Query Rewriting techniques for complex queries and large datasets.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Oracle Database Instance Tuning, including parameters, redo logs, and undo management.
  • Proficiency in PL/SQL programming is essential.
  • Preferably experienced in the BFSI sector.
  • Strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and capacity to work under tight deadlines.
