Job Title: Database Security Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Database Security Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our security operations team, you will be responsible for managing and supporting our database security environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in supporting database security or formal training in database security.
  • Familiarity with database security architecture, including data encryption, access control, and auditing.
  • Ability to monitor database systems, respond to alerts, and escalate issues to L2 support as needed.
  • Experience in setting up and managing security policies, including data masking and encryption.
  • Handling incidents related to database security, including system outages and policy breaches.
  • Logging incidents, tracking progress, and maintaining proper documentation for follow-ups.
  • Managing user accounts, including provisioning, de-provisioning, and access control within the database security environment.
  • Performing initial troubleshooting for common issues such as connectivity problems, policy misconfigurations, and user access issues.
  • Conducting regular health checks, including system updates, patches, and performance monitoring.
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of database security principles and best practices.
  • Hands-on experience in supporting database security configured in Blocking Mode.
  • Basic understanding of data masking and encryption within database security policies.
  • Strong communication skills for coordinating with L2 teams and other stakeholders to ensure issue resolution.
