IT Security DAM Support Specialist

We are seeking an IT Security DAM Support professional to ensure the security of our databases by supporting and managing our Database Activity Monitoring (DAM) systems.

  • DAM System Management: Provide support and administration for Database Activity Monitoring (DAM) systems.
  • Security Monitoring: Monitor and analyze security alerts generated by DAM systems to detect and respond to suspicious database activity.
  • Incident Response: Investigate security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and work with relevant teams to implement corrective actions.
  • Configuration & Maintenance: Configure and fine-tune DAM policies to ensure they align with security requirements and minimize false positives. Perform regular maintenance and updates on DAM systems.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with database administrators, application teams, and IT security teams to ensure the effectiveness of DAM controls.
  • Reporting: Generate regular reports on security incidents, compliance status, and system performance.
  • Compliance: Ensure DAM systems and processes comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in IT security with a focus on database security and Database Activity Monitoring (DAM).
  • Strong knowledge of database technologies (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL) and their security features.
  • Experience with DAM solutions such as IBM Guardium, Imperva, or similar products.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting security alerts and incidents.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of security principles, compliance frameworks, and best practices.
