Citrix Virtual Desktop Specialist

About this role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Citrix Virtual Desktop Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and secure virtual desktop solutions using Citrix technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and implement Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops to provide high-performance and secure virtual desktop environments.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and design architectures that meet the needs of our organization.

Solution Design and Architecture:

  • Analyze business requirements to design end-to-end virtual desktop solutions with scalable, secure, and high-performance architectures.

Citrix Integration and Configuration:

  • Design and integrate Citrix products, including Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix ADC, and Citrix Cloud with Azure virtual desktop services, to provide a comprehensive and cohesive virtual desktop solution.

Azure Virtual Desktop Configuration:

  • Configure and manage Azure virtual machines, session hosts, virtual networks, and storage to create and maintain Azure virtual desktop environments.

Identity and Access Management:

  • Design and implement identity and access management strategies, including integration with Azure Active Directory, multifactor authentication, and role-based access controls for virtual desktop environments.

Network Infrastructure and Security:

  • Design and configure network connectivity between on-premises infrastructure and Azure, including network security measures, such as firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers, to ensure secure and efficient data transfer.

Performance Optimization and Monitoring:

  • Optimize virtual desktop environments for performance, scalability, and user experience, monitoring resource allocation, load balancing, and network bandwidth to ensure optimal performance.

Security and Compliance:

  • Implement security measures, including data encryption, access controls, and compliance requirements, to protect virtual desktop environments and ensure compliance with industry regulations and organizational policies.

High Availability and Disaster Recovery:

  • Design and implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions to minimize downtime and data loss, creating redundancy mechanisms, backup strategies, and failover mechanisms to ensure business continuity.

Documentation and Collaboration:

  • Create design documentation, implementation guides, and operational procedures, collaborating with cross-functional teams, including infrastructure teams, security teams, and application owners, to ensure successful deployment and ongoing management of virtual desktop solutions.
