We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Desktop and Server Packaging Specialist. This position involves performing system integrations across various platforms, including desktop, on and off-prem cloud servers, and AVD technology.

The ideal candidate will have experience in developing packaging solutions for desktop and server platforms, as well as converting legacy applications and utilities. Strong technical skills, including knowledge of .NET, .BAT, .VBS, WSE, .MSI, .MST, .MSP, SQL Server, APPV, MSIX, Numecent, and scripting languages, are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement packaging solutions for desktop and server platforms
  • Convert legacy applications and utilities using various tools and technologies
  • Conduct planning, requirements analysis, pre and post-implementation support, and maintenance
  • Work with automation scripts, orchestration, and automation processes and products
  • Implement and support application virtualization, streaming, layering, and paging technologies

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in software packaging, application development, and deployment within a physical and virtual environment
  • Strong technical skills and hands-on expertise in relevant technologies
  • Experience with automation scripts, orchestration, and automation processes and products
  • Deep understanding of implementing and supporting application virtualization, streaming, layering, and paging technologies

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Developed scripts in PowerShell, Ansible, DSC, Python, or YAML
  • Familiar with tools or automate scripts/processes
  • Experience with idempotent to configuration manager, policy, and deployment
  • Project coordination experience; knows how to manage change, identifying risks, design documents; manage or lead technical projects and track task
