Job Description

Maintenance Engineers are responsible for ensuring the optimal uptime and performance of printing machinery and electrical equipment. They oversee timely installation, repair, rebuild, and upkeep of machines to prevent breakdowns and minimize disruptions.

Preventive maintenance is a crucial aspect of this role, requiring regular inspections and routine checks to avoid equipment failures. Maintenance Engineers must also be able to respond quickly to breakdowns, perform troubleshooting, and restore operations efficiently.

The successful candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, effective communication and collaboration abilities, and a proactive approach to maintenance planning. They will be able to utilize equipment performance data to guide improvement and make informed decisions.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Predictive Maintenance Tools: Familiarity with vibration analysis, thermography, and condition-monitoring tools to preempt equipment failure.
  • PLC & Automation Systems: Knowledge of programmable logic controllers and automated systems used in modern rotary, web-offset, and digital print machinery.
  • Electrical & Mechanical Foundation: Strong grounding in electrical systems, control panels, wiring, and mechanical assembly fundamentals.
  • Spare Parts Inventory Management: Proficiency in managing machine components, procurement lead times, and stock levels.
