Project Leadership & Design

  • Lead large-scale consultancy projects, overseeing design, compliance, and project coordination to meet client expectations.
  • Manage small to mid-value projects independently, ensuring seamless integration of design, compliance, and project coordination.
  • Prepare and review architectural documentation to meet statutory requirements, maintaining the highest standards of quality and accuracy.
  • Chair interdisciplinary meetings, coordinate teams, set clear project goals, and manage resources effectively to achieve successful outcomes.
Technical & Quality Assurance (Including MEP)

Conduct thorough reviews of architectural, civil, and MEP drawings for accuracy and compliance, ensuring seamless integration and efficient project progress.

  • Identify and resolve design or coordination issues in MEP systems, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing, to prevent technical clashes and ensure smooth project execution.
  • Collaborate closely with internal and external engineers to develop solutions that meet client and statutory requirements, ensuring efficient project progression.
Compliance & Permit Liaison

Develop and implement proactive permit application strategies, maintaining effective communication with regulatory authorities to ensure timely and successful project outcomes.

  • Interpret and enforce local and national building codes, fire regulations, PESO guidelines, NBC, and municipal by-laws to ensure compliance and avoid project delays.
  • Lead submission of compliance documents and manage technical responses to authority queries, ensuring successful project outcomes and maintaining a strong reputation.
Team & Process Management

Mentor architects, drafters, and interns to ensure well-coordinated technical outputs and maintain high-quality standards, fostering a culture of excellence within the team.

  • Develop and implement quality control protocols for architectural and MEP coordination across projects, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
  • Uphold high-quality standards for documentation and design integrity, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.

Key Qualifications:

  • Accredited Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
  • Minimum 5+ years of post-qualification experience leading multidisciplinary commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
  • Deep experience preparing and submitting statutory documents to municipal and specialist agencies.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, and MS Office; experience with project scheduling tools is a plus.
  • Preferred: Demonstrated hands-on experience with MEP drawing review, coordination, and quality assurance.
  • Exceptional technical communicator, adept at leading meetings and coordinating with clients, authorities, and consultants.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes and standards including UDCPR, NBC, IBC, and NFPA.
  • Registered Architect with the Council of Architecture (COA) is a plus.
  • Proven skills in team leadership, mentoring, and process improvement.
