Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Policy Research Specialist to join our team. The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in providing research-backed policy inputs to inform development agendas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive research on economic growth, statistics, and public policy issues.
  • Analyse large datasets and apply econometric/statistical techniques for policy insights.
  • Draft policy briefs, reports, and presentations for decision-makers.
  • Engage with government officials, industry leaders, and academic stakeholders.
  • Contribute to roundtables, workshops, and consultations on policy challenges.
  • Support project design, proposal development, research project management, and internal capability building.
  • Work with other researchers to ensure high-quality outputs.
Qualification & Experience:
  • Masters, MPhil, or PhD in Economics, Statistics, or related fields from a reputable institution.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in policy research, data analysis, consulting, or academia.
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis and econometrics (Stata/R/Python).
  • Demonstrated ability to design and independently manage research projects.
  • Excellent writing, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Adherence to research timelines and deliverables in a fast-paced policy environment.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with prior work experience in state-level or applied policy research.
