Data Architect Lead

We are seeking a Data Architect Lead to oversee the design and implementation of our analytics ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Engineering & Architecture
    • Design and implement scalable data pipelines and architecture.
    • Evaluate and recommend new technologies for data processing and storage.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data integration.
  • Dashboarding & Visualization
    • Develop and maintain executive-level and operational dashboards.
    • Ensure effective data visualization and communication strategies.
    • Prioritize and manage dashboard requests in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Business Rule Engines (BREs)
    • Implement and govern production rule engines for credit/fraud policies.
    • Ensure consistent and reliable deployment of rules.
    • Collaborate with Risk/Policy/Product teams for agile implementation.
  • Machine Learning Deployment & Maintenance
    • Lead the deployment and monitoring of batch-based ML models.
    • Develop standards for model execution, monitoring, and retraining workflows.
    • Collaborate with model builders for smooth model-to-production handoff.
  • Automation & SLAs
    • Establish and enforce SLAs for data, dashboard, and BRE changes.
    • Introduce automated solutions using tools like n8n, dbt, CI/CD.
    • Continuously improve efficiency of analytics delivery.
  • Team Leadership
    • Lead a small team (2–4 analysts/engineers) with responsibility for prioritization, quality, and development.
    • Mentor team members on skills development and knowledge sharing.
    • Serve as the bridge between business stakeholders and the analytics team.

Requirements

  • 5–8 years of experience in analytics engineering / BI / data platforms.
  • Advanced SQL, data modeling, and pipeline orchestration experience.
  • Strong BI expertise (Tableau, PowerBI, Looker, or equivalent).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (BigQuery, Snowflake, GCP/AWS/Azure).
  • Experience with workflow automation (Airflow, dbt, n8n, CI/CD).
  • Prior experience in leading small teams and stakeholder management.
