Procurement Specialist Job Description

The role of Procurement Specialist involves overseeing the entire procurement process from sourcing vendors to tracking order deliveries.

As a key member of our team, you will work closely with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and ensure timely procurement of goods and services.

Responsibilities include maintaining accurate procurement records, verifying invoices, and liaising with the Finance team for payment processing.

To succeed in this role, you must develop a strong understanding of procurement policies, tools, and vendor ecosystem.

Key skills required include negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. You should be organized, dependable, and detail-focused with a problem-solving attitude.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or Supply Chain Management
  • Certification or coursework in Procurement, Supply Chain, or Inventory Management is a plus
Work Experience Requirements
  • 2-3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain operations within a mid to large-sized organization
  • Proven track record in vendor sourcing, quotation analysis, purchase order management, and inventory tracking
Key Skills & Competencies
  • Strong knowledge of procurement lifecycle and inventory control practices
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and procurement software such as Zoho or SAP
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Organized, dependable, and detail-focused with a problem-solving attitude
