Site Reliability Engineer

About the Role:

Our organization is seeking a seasoned Site Reliability Engineer to spearhead the development and implementation of scalable, reliable infrastructure for our critical systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for automating repetitive operational tasks, deployments, and monitoring to ensure high availability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Implement Scalable Infrastructure: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain scalable and reliable infrastructure for production systems.
  • Automate Operational Tasks: Develop scripts and tools to automate repetitive operational tasks, deployments, and monitoring to ensure high availability.
  • Collaborate with Software Engineering Teams: Work closely with software engineering teams to build reliable and efficient services using cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Develop Tools for Monitoring and Incident Response: Design and develop tools for system monitoring, alerting, and incident response to minimize downtime.
  • Analyze System Performance: Analyze system performance and identify bottlenecks or failure points to improve overall efficiency.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Proven 5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering with tools like Grafana, Prometheus, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix systems and networking fundamentals, along with proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Go, Bash, or Ruby.
