About This Opportunity

This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our business and web applications. As an SRE, you will be working on all aspects of production support, including attending help requests, installations, configurations, debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.

The application environment is primarily based on Microsoft technologies, so experience with these platforms is essential. You should have a strong understanding of n-Tiered Microsoft platforms and application architectures, as well as knowledge of Web Server Knowledge - IIS, Apache web server.

Experience with cloud platforms like AWS/Azure is also required, along with expertise in PowerShell scripts and good understanding of common network protocols (HTTP, FTP) and SSL.

You should also have excellent debugging and problem-solving skills, as well as experience supporting ASP/.Net based applications (custom developed and off-the-shelf systems). Additionally, experience in application security and ability to fine tune applications for performance issues are highly desirable.

A thorough understanding of monitoring systems and monitoring methodology, automatic CI/CD deployment of applications, and effective written and oral communication skills are also essential for this role.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree with about five years of solid experience as an application support administrator in a Microsoft oriented IT environment.
  • Excellent knowledge in administering applications in AWS/Azure cloud with a minimum of two years of experience.
  • Strong expertise in Web Server Knowledge - IIS, Apache web server.
  • Strong experience with power shell scripts.
  • Good understanding of common network protocols (HTTP, FTP) and SSL along with knowledge of debugging network related issues using various available tools like Wireshark.
  • Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent work experience in supporting ASP/.Net based applications (custom developed and off-the-shelf systems).
  • Experience in application security.
  • Ability to fine tune applications for any performance issues.
  • Excellent knowledge in automatic CI/CD deployment of applications.
  • Thorough understanding of monitoring systems and monitoring methodology.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills (must be able to articulate technical designs, strategies, and problems to management).
  • Working knowledge of SQL databases.
