Shift Manager Job Description

Purpose of the Role:

The Shift Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our Data Center. This includes ensuring reliability and efficiency, managing critical situations to meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and maintaining uptime.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Leading a team of shift staff to execute planned and unplanned activities within timelines with good communication.
  2. Tracking complaints and closing them within SLA deviations.
  3. Managing incidents, conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and implementing recommendations on time with periodic reviews.
  4. Managing assets, warranties, AMC, lifecycle, and capacity management.
  5. Tracking and completing 5 PPM tasks with OEMs to ensure 100% availability of equipment.

Additional Responsibilities:

You will also be responsible for vendor management, tracking and maintaining records for stocks, coordinating with customer-related queries, and submitting reports on time.

Maintenance of Compliance, Security Processes, Risk Assessments, Inventory Updates, and Report Submission are also essential duties.

Demonstrated Competencies:

  1. An Electrical/Mechanical Engineering degree.
  2. Proven work experience in the Data Center Industry.
  3. A solid technical background with hands-on experience in data center infrastructure.
  4. Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking abilities.

We require a Degree/Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering and at least 7+ years of progressive data center and/or critical facilities experience.

This role requires strong leadership, technical, and organizational skills to deliver results-oriented performance in a fast-paced environment.
