  • Infrastructure Strategy Director

Job Summary

  • Develop and implement a strategic approach to infrastructure operations, aligning with business objectives and encompassing on-premise data center management and cloud deployments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular reviews and analysis of existing infrastructure to identify opportunities for improvement and optimize system efficiency.
  • Negotiate the procurement of software, hardware, and IT supplies, ensuring alignment with approved management plans.
  • Manage inventory of software licenses, hardware, and other IT assets.
  • Collaborate with senior management and peers to gain acceptance for alternate approaches and drive projects forward.
  • Oversee outsourced teams responsible for daily operations and activities.
  • Provide expert solutions to complex business problems, leveraging in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives.
  • Maintain working knowledge of server, storage, database, operating systems (Windows and Linux), and network technologies.
  • Ensure production incident management and regulatory compliance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in infrastructure management, with expertise in both on-premise data centers and cloud infrastructure.
  • Program and project management skills, with experience in planning and executing infrastructure-related projects.
  • Hands-on knowledge of infrastructure components, including servers, storage, databases, operating systems, and networks.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing principles and migration strategies.

Additional Requirements

  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and driving organizational change.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with IT service management frameworks and industry standards.
