Job Title: Technical Support Specialist

The Technical Support Specialist will be part of the Digital Support DevOps team, responsible for ensuring high-quality custom web applications on Microsoft technologies are aligned with business needs and meet industry best practices.

This role involves support and maintenance of applications, ensuring Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met for custom-built applications. The team works in a DevOps methodology, prioritizing and coordinating efforts by the Product Owner/Team Lead/Scrum Master.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and validate requirements.
  • Provide excellent customer support and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Analyze complex technical issues, making informed decisions under pressure.
  • Contribute to team agile planning activities and backlog management.
  • Identify and escalate application issues or risks to the team, suggesting resolutions.
  • Continuously improve development processes and tools to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop strategies and frameworks for emerging demands.
  • Drive innovation and adoption of industry practices through new tool/method standardization.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and document support processes and solutions.

Requirements

  • Master's/bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in application support and maintenance.
  • Proficiency in monitoring and diagnosing application issues using tools like New Relic, AppDynamics, or similar APM solutions.
  • Experience in identifying performance bottlenecks and providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Familiarity with ASP.NET, C#, SQL, EPiServer CMS, and other relevant technologies.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages like Bash, Python, or PowerShell for automating support tasks.
  • Expertise in analyzing application logs to identify errors, exceptions, and performance indicators.
