Software Quality Assurance Specialist
About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced software quality assurance specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through comprehensive testing strategies, automation development, and close collaboration with development teams.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and organized professional to grow their skills in software testing and quality assurance.

The selected candidate will work closely with developers, product managers, and designers throughout the software development lifecycle. They will participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, provide feedback on requirements and user stories from a testing perspective, and contribute to improving testing processes and methodologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Testing & Quality Assurance:
  • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for web applications, mobile apps, and APIs
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing
  • Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking systems
  • Conduct exploratory testing to uncover edge cases and usability issues
  • Test Automation:
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, TestNG, or similar)
  • Build and enhance continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) testing pipelines
  • Create automated API tests using tools like Postman, REST Assured, or similar
  • Maintain test automation frameworks and improve test coverage

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance
  • Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks (Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Playwright, etc.)
  • Knowledge of API testing tools (Postman, SoapUI, REST Assured)
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
Preferred Qualifications
  • ISTQB or other relevant testing certifications
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Knowledge of security testing principles
  • Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
