Job Overview

A Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst plays a crucial role in safeguarding an organization's IT infrastructure from cyber threats. As the first line of defense, they monitor, detect, and respond to potential security breaches, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate expertise in risk management and threat analysis
  • Guide colleagues and peers to ensure seamless project execution
  • Maintain proficiency in industry-leading frameworks, including Schellman Methodology
  • Succeed in managing multiple projects simultaneously, from fieldwork to completion
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of SOC 1 and SOC 2 controls, including GITCs and system requirements
  • Analyze and articulate the impact of Principal Service Commitments on project scope
  • Accurately identify exceptions that may affect audit outcomes
  • Stay organized, prioritize tasks effectively, and anticipate future project needs
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business management, technology, or a related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in information security auditing, assessment, consulting, or compliance
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant industry tools
  • Possession of relevant certifications, such as CPA, CCSK, or CISA
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced education in cybersecurity or a related field
  • Experience working with SOCs, ITGCs, or cloud-based systems
  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks, such as HIPAA, AUP, and C5
