We are seeking a Hydraulics & Irrigation System Design Expert with a strong background in civil engineering, specifically in hydraulics and water resources engineering.

Job Profile

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and preparing technical drawings for irrigation infrastructure such as dams, barrages, micro-irrigation systems, canal networks, and related hydraulic structures.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Water gem, or similar hydraulic modeling tools is required.
  • Design hydraulic structures such as dams, barrages, weirs, spillways, and intake systems using standard engineering codes and software.
  • Develop micro-irrigation system layouts, pipe network designs, and hydraulic profiles for efficient water distribution.
  • Prepare hydraulic modeling, flow calculations, and hydraulic grade line diagrams for irrigation and water management projects.
  • Develop detailed technical documents, BOQs, and specifications using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or equivalent design tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including survey, GIS, and geotechnical teams for integrated designs.
  • Support the preparation of project reports.
  • Participate in client meetings, site visits, and review discussions with stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the design and drawing of dams, barrages, canals, micro-irrigation systems, and related structures is required.
  • Strong understanding of hydraulic principles, irrigation techniques, flow analysis, and pipe hydraulics is essential.
  • Familiarity with WRD, CWC, Govt Guidelines, and state irrigation department practices is necessary.
  • Excellent technical documentation, report writing, and communication skills are required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team is essential.

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Water gem, or similar hydraulic modeling tools is a must.
