Water Supply Project Lead

The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the planning, design, and implementation of urban water supply projects. This includes developing and overseeing strategies for non-revenue water reduction and water loss management.

A key aspect of this role is conducting hydraulic modeling and network design using WaterGEMS or equivalent software. The successful candidate will also prepare detailed project reports, feasibility studies, and technical documentation.

Additionally, the candidate will ensure compliance with national and international standards for water supply infrastructure. They will collaborate with government agencies, urban planners, and engineering teams to integrate water supply solutions into broader urban development plans.

Maintaining accurate records of project progress, quality, and budget adherence is crucial. Providing technical guidance and capacity building to project teams and stakeholders is also essential.

Effective communication and stakeholder management skills are necessary for engaging with community groups and local authorities to achieve inclusive and sustainable project outcomes.

Finally, staying up-to-date with emerging technologies, policies, and best practices in urban water management is vital for success in this role.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering with specialization in Environmental Engineering, Public Health Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 10 years of post-qualification experience in urban water supply projects.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing water supply systems, including NRW reduction programs.
  • Proficiency in WaterGEMS or similar hydraulic modeling software.
  • Experience in managing large-scale infrastructure projects (project cost over INR 1,000 crores).
  • Strong understanding of water quality standards, distribution systems, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
