Engineering Director

Oversee the strategic development and implementation of comprehensive engineering solutions to enhance operational excellence and guest satisfaction across multiple properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership & Oversight
    • Develop, standardize, and maintain best practices in engineering policies and procedures.
    • Lead capital projects including renovations and new builds ensuring alignment with business objectives.
    • Establish benchmarks and key performance indicators (KPIs) for property-level engineering teams.
  • Maintenance & Operations
    • Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs to ensure optimal functioning of MEP systems.
    • Coordinate with resort teams to resolve issues promptly and minimize downtime.
  • Energy & Sustainability
    • Drive energy conservation initiatives through data-driven decision-making and sustainable practices.
    • Implement energy-efficient solutions and cost-saving measures aligned with global hospitality standards.
  • Compliance & Safety
    • Ensure regulatory compliance across all properties and conduct regular audits to mitigate risks proactively.
    • Promote a culture of safety, service, and continuous improvement among engineering teams.
  • Team Development & Management
    • Recruit, train, and mentor engineering teams to develop their skills and knowledge.
    • Promote a collaborative environment that fosters open communication and idea-sharing.
  • Budgeting & Financial Management
    • Manage annual engineering budgets and approve expenditures for maintenance and capital projects.
    • Monitor and report on project costs and ensure financial returns align with business objectives.
    Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
    • Advanced certifications in facility or energy management preferred.
    • 15+ years of experience in hospitality engineering with 5+ years in senior leadership roles.
    Skills & Competencies
    • Strong leadership and team-building abilities.
    • Expertise in building systems and CMMS tools.
    • Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
