Critical Care Consultant Position

We are seeking an experienced Critical Care Consultant to join our esteemed team. A highly skilled and compassionate individual with a strong background in critical care medicine will provide expert care to patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and other critical care settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care Management: Comprehensive critical care management to patients in the ICU, including those with life-threatening conditions, multi-organ failure, and complex medical needs.
  • Medical Supervision and Assessment: Oversee the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of critically ill patients, ensuring timely and appropriate interventions.
  • Multidisciplinary Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other specialists, surgeons, nursing staff, and hospital teams to ensure a holistic and coordinated approach to patient care.
  • Emergency Response Leadership: Lead the management of emergency cases and make crucial decisions regarding patient treatment plans.
  • Consultation and Guidance: Offer expert consultation on complex cases and provide guidance to junior doctors and medical staff.
  • Clinical Procedures and Protocols: Perform critical care procedures such as endotracheal intubation, central line insertion, arterial line placement, etc.
  • Training and Development Programmes: Mentor and train junior medical staff and residents in critical care practices and procedures.
  • Patient Family Communication: Communicate clearly with patients' families about the patient's condition, treatment options, and prognosis.
  • Continuous Professional Development: Stay updated with the latest advancements in critical care medicine and contribute to hospital protocols and care guidelines.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • MBBS with MD degree.
  • 7-8 years of post-qualification experience in critical care medicine, preferably in a multi-disciplinary hospital.
  • Strong Clinical Knowledge and Decision Making Abilities. Skills in ICU management and critical care procedures are essential.
  • Fellowship in Critical Care Medicine or Additional Certifications would be advantageous.
  • Excellent Communication Skills, Leadership Abilities, and Patient-Centric Approach.
