Job Title: Tech Service Manager

This is a comprehensive technical support role for the Polymer business, covering various segments such as Coating, Packaging, Carpet, and Adhesive.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving customer solutions, supporting sales, and guiding product development by bridging market needs with internal functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Tech Support and Formulation Development: Provide technical services and formulation support to targeted segments.
  • Market Adaptation: Develop formulations that meet local market requirements.
  • Customer Training: Conduct technical training for customers, distributors, and internal teams.
  • Competitive Analysis: Analyze competitors and recommend strategies.
  • Compliance Management: Ensure compliance with statutory and internal standards.
  • Lab Operations: Manage lab operations efficiently and uphold EHS and ISO requirements.
  • Customer Support: Support customer complaint resolution and application troubleshooting.
  • Lab Maintenance: Maintain lab equipment, calibrate instruments, and document results.
  • Field Support: Participate in field trials and on-site customer visits as needed.
  • Industry Engagement: Contribute to technical papers, exhibitions, and industry seminars.
Requirements:
  • Education: MSc or Bachelor of Engineering or Master's of Engineering in Chemistry preferred.
  • Experience: At least 8 years of formulation experience in Polymer dispersions/coatings with at least 2 years in a supervisory/people leadership role.
  • Skills: Sound understanding of polymer science and standard test methods.
  • Customer Focus: Strong customer focus with the ability to provide prompt, practical solutions.
  • Market Knowledge: Deep knowledge of core markets, competitors, and emulsion polymer technology.
