Job Role Overview

The Data Migration Expert plays a pivotal role in the end-to-end execution of data migration activities. This position entails collaboration with local business and functional teams while serving as a liaison between Global Data Migration Experts and Data Migration Execution teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the focal point for assigned data objects in scope for deployment or local data migration projects, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Collaborate with Business Data Owners, Functional Experts, ETL teams, legacy system teams, and deployment teams to drive seamless integration.
  • Initiate and execute migration activities for deployment projects, maintaining strict adherence to project timelines.
  • Verify data transformation tools and outputs for deployment wave projects, guaranteeing data integrity.
  • Manage DMW load file preparation and perform initial verification, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Execute DVT scripts and provide support for defect/hypercare incident resolution for assigned data objects.
  • Coordinate defect resolution or escalate to GDMEs as needed, fostering effective communication and issue resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, maintaining the highest level of data governance.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of ERP project implementation experience with strong data migration expertise.
  • Proven experience in data migration execution across multi-country, multi-system environments.
  • Hands-on knowledge of SAP BODS.
  • Strong understanding of GxP and CSV requirements.
  • SAP Certified in at least one relevant functional area.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a global, matrix-based organization.
  • Strategic and hands-on mindset with experience running meetings, tracking progress, and managing issues.
  • Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Fluent in English.
