We are seeking an experienced Cloud Migration Specialist to join our team. This role involves designing, developing and implementing complex data pipelines for migrating data from on-premise sources to cloud platforms.

  • Design and develop robust and scalable data pipelines using Datastage, Azure Data Factory (ADF), Databricks and PySpark.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in the project's core technologies, including Datastage, ADF, Databricks and PySpark.
  • Collaborate with architects and technical leads to design efficient and effective cloud migration strategies and data transformation solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Development and Implementation: Develop, test and deploy high-quality data pipelines for cloud migrations.
  2. Technical Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert in the project's core technologies.
  3. Solution Design: Collaborate with technical leads to design cloud migration strategies.
  4. Code Quality: Ensure the delivery of high-quality, well-documented code.
  5. Performance Optimization: Analyze and optimize the performance of data pipelines and applications.
  6. Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to data migration and system performance.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  1. Minimum 10 years experience in IT industry with focus on data engineering and ETL development.
  2. Extensive hands-on experience with Datastage for building and managing ETL jobs.
  3. Proven experience in Cloud Migration projects with strong understanding of challenges and best practices involved in moving data to the cloud.
  4. In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) for building and orchestrating data workflows.
  5. Strong proficiency in Databricks and its ecosystem including notebooks, jobs and Delta Lake.
  6. Expertise in PySpark for developing data processing applications on distributed computing framework.
  7. Solid understanding of cloud platforms preferably Microsoft Azure.
  8. Experience with SQL and database concepts.
  9. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
