We are seeking a Senior Freight Executive to lead our Ocean & Air product vertical in India.

Job Description
  • To manage a substantial Ocean/Air profit and loss statement, including a team across America who will develop and maintain relations with ocean carrier partners, global and regional.
  • To oversee a team responsible for designing, building, and pricing our Ocean/Air marketplace coverage.
  • To lead a diverse team of leaders, overseeing multiple functions and responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage a very sizeable Ocean/Air P&L and team across America who will develop and maintain relations with ocean carrier partners including global and regional partners
  2. Manage a team who will design, build and price our Ocean/Air marketplace coverage
  3. Manage a large diverse team of leaders of leaders
  4. Manage a team who will execute Global Carrier Strategy and Development on Regional Trade Carrier Strategy
  5. Procure competitive market rates, design products and manage yield
  6. Be responsible for responding to tenders and RFQs to secure regional and global customers through your team
  7. Manage a team of Market experts in Ocean/Air Freight
  8. Actively support the sales and marketing organization with market information, sales leads and joint sales visit
  9. Educate teams with trade specific market knowledge and trade idiosyncrasies
  10. Scale ocean and air freight for the biggest region
  11. Own air growth by leading a team of regional Sales and Pricing team to drive business development throughout the region
  12. Administer overall pricing strategy for all fixed and spot business, tracking metrics such as conversion and take rate
  13. Design scalable air freight solutions to support unique verticals and segments
  14. Develop a US Export procurement strategy by negotiating contracts, fixed allocations and potentially BSA's, monitoring utilization of capacity
  15. Administer quality management with IN- US Export carriers driving on-time performance and milestone timeliness
  16. Own take rate by managing air freight cost and pricing inputs, empowered to drive yields by leveraging the right carriers, routings and consolidation strategies
  17. Be the executive-level point of contact for all Indian airline relationships
  18. Provide commercial support to largest global accounts, acting as an executive sponsor
  19. Partner with the sales organization on global, strategic RFQ's by providing pricing strategy and commercial support
