Mendix Platform Administrator

The platform administrator plays a crucial role in managing the Mendix platform and its applications within an organization. They are responsible for user and access management, application deployment and monitoring, and ensuring the platform's overall health and security.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • User and Access Management:
  • Invite new users, manage user roles and permissions, and set up App Access Groups to ensure appropriate access to applications and data.
  • Application Deployment and Monitoring:
  • Oversee the deployment of new applications, monitor their performance, and manage the application lifecycle.
  • Platform Configuration and Maintenance:
  • Configure settings within the Mendix platform, manage Marketplace content, and ensure the platform is running smoothly.
  • Troubleshooting and Support:
  • Address issues related to the platform and applications, working with users and technical teams to resolve problems.
  • Security Management:
  • Implement and maintain security measures to protect the platform and its data, including user authentication and authorization.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work with various stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure the platform effectively supports business needs.
  • Staying Updated:
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest platform features, security updates, and best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Manage Users and Groups: Add, remove, and modify user accounts and access rights.
  • Manage Apps: Deploy new applications, manage versions, and monitor performance.
  • Manage Marketplace Content: Add and configure components from the Mendix Marketplace.
  • Monitor Platform Health: Track resource usage, performance metrics, and security logs.
  • Configure Platform Settings: Set up company-specific configurations, such as security settings and branding.
  • Troubleshoot Issues: Investigate and resolve platform and application-related issues.
  • Document Processes: Create and maintain documentation for platform usage and administration.
