
FMCG Sales Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Category Management Executive to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the FMCG category across multiple regions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and driving growth through effective category management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the Category FMCG team to deliver business results, including sales growth, profitability, and market share.
- Develop and implement category strategies that align with business objectives, leveraging industry trends and competitor analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Store Operations, Supply Chain, and Purchase, to optimize inventory management, supply chain efficiency, and in-store promotions.
- Negotiate with vendors to secure favorable terms, manage vendor relationships, and drive category development initiatives.
- Lead training and development programs for purchase officers and assistants, ensuring they have the necessary skills to succeed in their roles.
- Ensure seamless availability of products in DCs and stores, while maintaining competitive pricing and maximizing offtakes.
- Travel extensively within the assigned region and pan-India to meet with stakeholders, assess market conditions, and identify opportunities for growth.
Requirements:
- Graduate/Post Graduate/MBA with a minimum 10 years of experience in FMCG sales, preferably in General Trade.
- Proven track record of managing similar roles, with a strong understanding of category management principles and practices.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong team management and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
