The role of Business Analyst encompasses a multifaceted approach to understanding business needs, processes, and challenges. Key responsibilities involve collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements, conducting workshops, interviews, and surveys to collect detailed information.

Analysis of existing systems, workflows, and data identifies opportunities for change and improvement. The Business Analyst collaborates with the technical team to design solutions that meet client requirements.

A crucial aspect of this role is documentation and specification, including creating Business Requirements Documents, Functional Specifications, and User Stories. Process flows, wireframes, and mock-ups are used to communicate requirements effectively.

Maintenance of a requirements traceability matrix ensures progress and changes are tracked effectively.

Collaboration and communication are essential, working closely with Product Managers to prioritize features and define the product roadmap. The Business Analyst also liaises with development and QA teams to clarify requirements and resolve queries.

Project support includes participation in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, supporting testing activities, and assisting in UAT and gathering feedback for refinements.

Continuous improvement is a key responsibility, analyzing post-implementation results to measure success against objectives. Recommendations for process optimizations and product enhancements are made, staying updated on industry trends, tools, and best practices in software product development.

  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to create wireframes and mock-ups
  • Proficiency in requirements gathering tools (Jira, Confluence, or similar)
  • Domain knowledge in Travel Industry (preferable)

Preferred skills include basic understanding of APIs, databases, and system integrations, as well as experience with data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, Power BI).
