Retail Innovation Manager: Driving Business Growth

At People First Consultants, we're seeking a visionary Retail Innovation Manager to spearhead our retail vertical's innovation initiatives.
With a strong background in the retail industry and a passion for driving business growth, this role involves identifying emerging trends, fostering a culture of innovation, and leading cross-functional teams in developing and implementing innovative solutions that deliver value to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Trend Identification: Stay updated on industry trends, technology advancements, and best practices in the Retail industry, providing strategic insights and recommendations to clients based on industry trends and best practices.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders (service lines, Market/Delivery units) to understand their Retail client needs and develop tailored innovation solutions.
- Culture Development: Foster a culture of innovation within the team, encouraging creative thinking and experimentation.
- Team Management: Manage and mentor a team of innovation specialists, providing guidance and support.
- Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders, partners, industry experts, and clients.
- Initiative Implementation
- Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor and report on the impact of innovation initiatives using data to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
We're looking for an individual with:
- A Masters degree in Business Information Technology or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- A minimum of 10-12 years of consulting experience in the Retail industry, with a focus on store operations, unified commerce, supply chain, and merchandising.
- A strong understanding of Retail industry trends, challenges, and opportunities, with good knowledge of Retail industry-specific software and tools such as CRM systems, POS systems, and inventory management solutions.
- The ability to appreciate and articulate the biz/tech trends influencing the Retail industry (primarily in NA) and how to tap into those trends and build an unfair advantage for Cognizant.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and team members.
- The ability to think strategically and provide innovative solutions to complex problems.
- Strong exposure to AI/ML GenAI data analytics, and other advanced technologies in the Retail industry.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment and anchor multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Willingness to travel if required.
Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.
