For an organization to thrive, operational efficiency is paramount. A seasoned leader is required to spearhead the Operations and Sustainability Solutions team at a prominent waste management firm.

The ideal candidate will ensure timely compliance with rules on behalf of brands required to fulfill their Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) targets for plastic and e-waste.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure brands comply with existing regulations
  • Standardize formats according to government or brand requirements
  • Document collections and verification as per commitments made to brands
  • Proactively engage with key stakeholders associated with the firm
  • Maintain attention to detail, especially in compliance-related documentation
  • Coordinate multiple teams both on-field and off-field
  • Optimize team efficiency by developing streamlined processes
  • Maintain regular communication with management, staff, and vendors to ensure smooth operations
  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols
  • Pursue strategic and operational objectives proactively
  • Ensure timely completion of operational activities and manage resources effectively
  • Identify staffing needs and hire new employees as necessary
  • Lead, motivate, and support a large team in a demanding environment, including career development planning and problem resolution
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve implementation processes
  • Work closely with legal and safety departments to ensure compliance.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in handling operations
  • Prior experience in waste management is advantageous
  • Ability to work efficiently on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with excellent persuasion and consensus-building abilities, and a solid ability to work in a team
