Product Innovation Engineer

This role requires a highly motivated individual with expertise in process optimization, supplier negotiations, and lean manufacturing principles. The successful candidate will work alongside experienced professionals to contribute to process improvements, production efficiency, and supply chain management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Vendor search and development
  • Negotiating with suppliers to optimize material costs and maintain strong relationships
  • Setting up manufacturing and quality control processes at contract manufacturers' locations
  • Procurement of raw materials and semi-finished goods for lifestyle products
  • Implementing ERP (Odoo) and project management (Jira) systems to elevate visibility and streamline workflows
  • Business operations, including certifications, pricing, logistics
  • Inventory management, minimizing stockouts and excess inventory
  • Executing rapid R&D prototyping to reduce lead times for new component designs, improving agility and speed to market
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and achieve operational excellence

Requirements:

  • Ability to independently navigate challenges using analytical skills
  • A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and contribute
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Background in Mechanical Engineering or Business Administration
  • 1-5 years of experience in a manufacturing setup
