Job Opportunity: Chief Financial Officer

Role Overview

The ideal candidate will lead and oversee the entire accounts and finance function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance, effective cash flow management, and strategic financial planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Planning & Strategy
  • Develop and implement financial plans, budgets, and forecasts to drive business growth.
  • Optimize cost structures, improve margins, and enhance profitability through data-driven decision-making.
  • Maintain close collaboration with senior leadership to ensure alignment of financial goals with overall business objectives.
  1. Accounts & Reporting
  • Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) in accordance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS).
  • Lead the accounting team in day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient processes and high-quality deliverables.
  • Foster a culture of transparency and accountability within the finance department.
  1. Compliance & Audit
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant laws and regulations, including GST, Income Tax, TDS, ROC filings, and other applicable standards.
  • Liaise with auditors and regulatory bodies to address any queries or concerns.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements impacting the manufacturing sector.
  1. Treasury & Working Capital Management
  • Manage cash flows, banking relationships, and fund utilization to maximize return on investment.
  • Oversee working capital management, credit control, and debtor management to optimize liquidity and minimize risk.
  • Negotiate with banks, financial institutions, and investors to secure funding and project financing opportunities.
  1. Cost Control & MIS
  • Implement robust cost accounting systems to monitor production-related costs and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and present regular management information systems (MIS) reports to stakeholders for informed decision-making.
  • Collaborate with business units to provide analytical support for pricing, costing, and investment decisions.
  1. Team Leadership & Development
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the accounts & finance team to foster a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
  • Establish and maintain strong internal controls and processes across the department.
  • Cultivate a work environment that promotes integrity, compliance, and innovation.

Requirements:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification.
  • Minimum 8-15 years of post-qualification experience in Accounts & Finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in manufacturing (preferably metals/steel sector).
  • Strong expertise in financial reporting, statutory compliance, cost control, and treasury management.
  • Proven track record in handling audits, liaising with banks, and managing working capital.
  • Excellent leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
