Job Overview

We are seeking a mid-level legal professional to join our team, with a primary focus on real estate and property law. The role involves end-to-end management of property transactions and conveyancing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drafting and Negotiation: Draft, vet, and negotiate Leave and License agreements, lease agreements, sale deeds, MOUs, and title documents.
  • Legal Support: Provide legal support for property acquisitions, rentals, and disposals, including due diligence and risk assessment.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with local real estate laws, including RERA, municipal and development authority regulations.
  • External Liaison: Liaise with external counsels, government bodies, and regulatory authorities on property-related issues.
  • Document Handling: Handle legal documentation for property registration, stamp duty, and registration formalities.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain legal records and contract database for all real estate transactions.
  • Due Diligence: Conduct legal due diligence of properties including title verification, encumbrance checks, etc.
  • Knowledge Updates: Keep updated with changes in real estate and property law and advise management accordingly.
Requirements:
  • LLB degree with 4–10 years of post-qualification experience.
  • Strong exposure to real estate, property law, and conveyancing.
  • Hands-on experience drafting and negotiating leave & license agreements, lease deeds, and sale transactions.
  • Working knowledge of RERA, municipal, and development authority regulations.
  • Experience handling property registrations, title verification, stamp duty, and due diligence processes.
  • Ability to liaise with government authorities and external counsel effectively.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in maintaining legal trackers, records, and documentation.
  • Excellent English proficiency (verbal and written).
  • Willingness to contribute to other legal workstreams beyond property/conveyance when required.
