Support Specialist - Payments Domain

We are seeking a highly skilled Support Specialist to join our team. As a critical member of our payments domain, you will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring the uptime and stability of banking applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide application and production support for digital payment systems, including UPI and retail banking platforms.
  • Monitor system alerts, perform incident management, and ensure minimal downtime.
  • Perform root cause analysis for recurring issues and drive long-term solutions.
  • Coordinate with development, QA, infrastructure, and vendor teams for issue resolution and change implementation.
  • Document support procedures, run books, and incident reports.
  • Ensure compliance with ITIL practices, including incident, problem, and change management.
  • Handle deployment activities, release validations, and post-production verification.
  • Act as an SME for payment systems and support audits and compliance-related activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 8-11 years of experience in application support, production support, or IT operations.
  • Hands-on experience supporting UPI platforms, retail banking applications, and payment gateways.
  • Strong understanding of banking protocols and digital payment workflows.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Unix/Linux commands, log analysis, and scripting (Shell/Python preferred).
  • Good understanding of monitoring tools, incident tracking systems.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Strong coordination skills across cross-functional teams.
