Human Resources Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources professional to oversee all aspects of our organization's HR operations. This role involves managing recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and fostering a positive workplace culture.

This includes:

  • Managing day-to-day HR operations including recruitment, onboarding, payroll, compliance, and benefits
  • Developing and implementing HR policies and procedures in compliance with labor laws and organizational goals
  • Managing the full recruitment cycle including job postings, interviews, hiring, and onboarding
  • Supporting current and future business needs through staff development, engagement, motivation, and retention
  • Bridging management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues
  • Managing performance review processes and working with department heads on performance improvement plans
  • Organizing training and development initiatives to support employee growth
  • Ensuring legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable HR federal and state requirements
  • Maintaining HR records and reports in compliance with audit and data privacy standards
  • Promoting a positive and inclusive workplace culture
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
Preferred Qualifications

The following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • A Master's degree in HR or a related field
  • HR certifications such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR
  • Experience in a fast-paced or startup environment
  • Familiarity with payroll systems and employee engagement tools
