Job Title: Application Manager

Location: BITS Mumbai Campus

Experience Required: 15 years of progressive experience in IT application management.

Role Overview

The Application Manager will be accountable for managing and ensuring seamless operations of all academic, administrative, and enterprise IT applications at the BITS Mumbai Campus. This includes oversight of Salesforce CRM & Admissions, Student Information System (SIS), Learning Management System (LMS), Library Management System, Financial ERP, HRMS, and other mission-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of enterprise applications (deployment, configuration, upgrades, integration, performance optimization).
  • Ensure high availability, reliability, and security of all academic and administrative applications.
  • Oversee issue resolution, incident management, and root cause analysis for application-related problems.

Strategic Planning & Governance

  • Define and execute the application roadmap in alignment with institutional digital transformation goals.
  • Establish governance standards, documentation, and compliance with IT policies.
  • Recommend and implement innovative technology solutions to enhance teaching, learning, and operations.

Integration & Data Management

  • Drive seamless integration of CRM, SIS, LMS, ERP, HRMS, and other systems.
  • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and accessibility across platforms.
  • Maintain compliance with data privacy, cybersecurity, and higher education regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Expertise in managing Salesforce CRM, ERP (Finance & HR), SIS, LMS, Library Management, and related systems.
  • Strong experience in application integration, vendor management, and IT governance.
  • Demonstrated success in leading teams and managing complex projects.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity, compliance, and digital transformation best practices.
