About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, testing and releasing software within customer environments. This includes incident resolution and request fulfillment, as well as BAU support of the Endpoint environment.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and implement the appropriate packaging and delivery strategy depending on the application.
  • Execute the steps of the application packaging process within Service Level Agreement limits, including:
  • Application intake
  • Packaging using various tools
  • Technical testing
  • Documentation
  • Deployment
  • Maintenance
  • Resolve incidents and requests related to packages within the SLA.
  • Update the customer and ITSM ticket throughout its lifecycle.
  • Liaise with change management, customers, application owners, and vendors where necessary.
  • In some cases, liaise with an external packaging factory for select package requests, reviewing their output to ensure deliverables meet agreed standards before continuing with the release process.
  • Manage and support customer environments built with Windows client operating systems, Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft Defender, Software Central, and the Microsoft Intune product family, Microsoft Configuration Manager / Intune.
  • Respond to and resolve assigned incidents, implementing requests and changes while ensuring actions are taken to prevent exceeding SLAs or causing unforeseen business impact.
  • Update the customer and ITSM ticket throughout its lifecycle.
  • Liaise with the Service Desk, other Getronics resolver groups, the customer, and vendors when required to resolve tickets.
  • Comply with relevant customer and Getronics policies and procedures.
  • Consult senior colleagues or management when assigned tickets require assistance.
  • Escalate to management if a ticket is at risk of breaching SLA.

Qualifications

A minimum of 4 years of experience in preparing applications for deployment on Windows Operating Systems by employing available setup commands/scripting, repackaging, and customizing setup applications using tooling such as InstallShield RayPack etc.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Thorough knowledge of the MSI and MSIX packaging frameworks.
  • Thorough knowledge of Windows 11 and AD Group Policies.
  • Intermediate level knowledge of PowerShell Scripting and basic level VB scripting in support of automating application installations.
  • Operational knowledge of the Microsoft Intune product family including Microsoft Configuration Manager with a focus on application creation/integration and deployment.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and logical reasoning skills.
  • Experience working in an ITIL-based operations environment using ITSM toolsets such as ServiceNow.
  • Flexibility during emergency situations.
  • Proficiency in English.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience in preparing applications for Citrix environments.
  • Microsoft Certifications: MD-100: Windows 10, MD-101: Managing modern desktops, MD-102: Endpoint Administrator.
  • Experience supporting multiple customer environments simultaneously.
  • Experience working in an international environment.
