The Regional Head will oversee the overall Procurement & Inputs function, driving milk procurement volume growth through strategic planning and execution.
Key responsibilities include analyzing market trends, competitor activity, and milk quality to inform procurement decisions. Additionally, they will develop and implement strategies for setting up new chilling centers, overseeing the installation and maintenance of cold chain infrastructure, and monitoring and improving milk quality by optimizing production processes and reducing contamination risks.
They will also identify opportunities to reduce costs without compromising quality or service levels, implement cost-saving measures, and monitor their effectiveness. Furthermore, they will develop and maintain relationships with farmers, providing support and guidance on best practices, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure effective communication and coordination.
In addition to these responsibilities, the Regional Head will source high-quality feed supplements and veterinary services, negotiate prices and terms with suppliers, and ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards in all operations. They will also lead and manage a team of professionals, providing coaching and development opportunities, set performance goals and objectives, and monitor progress and provide feedback.
