Lead Python Engineer

Job Summary:
We are looking for a Lead Python Developer to help us drive our data-driven applications forward. This role is critical to designing and developing scalable ETL workflows using Python and Pandas, enabling efficient large dataset processing and pipeline automation strategies.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with data ingestion and transformation processes using Hive SQL, as well as proficiency in Elasticsearch indexing, querying, and optimization for performance.
A strong background in distributed data systems, API development using Flask or similar Python frameworks, and excellent debugging, analytical, and communication skills are required for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop scalable ETL workflows using Python and Pandas
- Implement data ingestion and transformation processes using Hive SQL for data warehousing
- Configure and optimize Elasticsearch clusters for indexing, searching, and analytics performance
- Create and maintain RESTful APIs using Flask for secure data exchange
- Collaborate with Data Scientists, Analysts, and Engineers to support data-driven applications and reporting tools
- Ensure high standards of data quality, reliability, and integrity throughout the pipeline
- Analyze performance, debug issues, and tune queries for maximum efficiency
- Document data flows, pipeline architecture, and automation logic clearly
