Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled senior developer to lead our development team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in PHP, CodeIgniter, Python, MySQL, and JavaScript, as well as strong proficiency in Git for version control and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities
  • PHP Development: Strong understanding of core PHP and object-oriented programming principles, ensuring high-quality, maintainable code.
  • CodeIgniter (CI): Experience working with both legacy (CI 1) and modern (CI 4) versions of the CodeIgniter framework, adapting to new technologies and best practices.
  • Python: Solid knowledge of Python for various applications, including data analysis and scripting.
  • MySQL: Hands-on experience in designing, optimizing, and managing MySQL databases, ensuring data integrity and performance.
  • JavaScript (ES6+): Proficiency in JavaScript for both client-side functionality and integration with backend services, leveraging its full potential.
  • Code Review: Experience in performing peer code reviews, ensuring code quality, readability, and adherence to best practices, promoting a culture of excellence.
  • Unit Testing: Familiarity with writing and maintaining unit tests to ensure code reliability and regression prevention, catching bugs early.
  • Version Control: Proficient with Git for version control, branching, and collaborative development, streamlining teamwork and reducing conflicts.
  • API Integration: Experience working with RESTful APIs for both consuming and creating endpoints, integrating with multiple systems seamlessly.
  • Performance Optimization: Understanding of performance tuning on both frontend and backend, identifying bottlenecks and implementing solutions to improve overall system efficiency.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and QA engineers to deliver high-quality products, aligning technical expertise with business goals.
  • Review code for quality, maintainability, and performance, providing constructive feedback to improve team members' skills.
  • Guide team members in adopting best practices in coding, testing, and DevOps, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to mitigate and address them, ensuring smooth project execution.
  • Stay updated with the latest technology trends and advocate for best engineering practices, driving innovation and progress within the team.
  • Ensure technical documentation and architectural diagrams are well maintained, facilitating knowledge sharing and onboarding.
