Job Title:

  • Onboarding Specialist

Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Onboarding Specialist to join our team. This role requires strong project management skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Project Management: Serve as the primary contact during the onboarding process for signed partners, ensuring completion of partner certification and successful integration into Avalara s systems and Partner Programme.
  • Access Facilitation: Facilitate access to Avalara s Partner Portal and guide partners in utilizing its resources effectively.
  • Sales and Marketing Support: Collaborate with partners and internal stakeholders to develop a detailed sales and marketing plan to support their launch, including identifying early adopters leveraging tools, customer webinars, partner trainings, etc.
  • Certification Support: Communicate with partners about any remaining certification requirements and support them in addressing these items.
  • Technical Support: Basic knowledge of Avalara s APIs to answer technical related questions from partners building a certified integration.
  • Resource Provision: Work cross-functionally with internal teams (Sales, Product, Marketing, etc.) to provide partners with the resources needed to succeed.
  • Key Metric Tracking: Track and report on key metrics, including the number of completed launch projects for signed partners.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Cross-functional collaboration: Demonstrated across various departments and manage complex projects involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Project management: Experienced in handling projects and ensuring all deliverables are met.
  • Goal-oriented: A mindset, with a specific focus on tracking and achieving launch project goals for each partner.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor s degree in Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in a customer success, account management, project management or partner onboarding role.
  • Collaboration and Project Management: Work collaboratively across teams and manage multiple onboarding processes simultaneously.
  • Software Proficiency: Comfortable using CRM software (e.g., Salesforce), project management software, and data tracking systems.
  • SaaS Experience: Experience in SaaS is preferred.
