Data Engineering Lead Position

Our organization is seeking an experienced Data Engineering Manager to lead the development and implementation of our cloud-based data platform. This key role will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable, secure, and compliant data pipelines using AWS services.

  • Develop end-to-end data pipelines leveraging AWS services such as S3, Glue, Redshift, Athena, EMR, Kinesis, DynamoDB, and SageMaker.
  • Implement data product storage, processing, and APIs using AWS-native tools and serverless architectures.
  • Apply Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CDK) for provisioning and managing cloud resources.
  • Drive platform governance, ensuring compliance with security and operational standards.

Requirements:
  • 12+ years of experience in platform engineering, data architect, data engineering, or solution architecture.
  • Strong expertise in building scalable, secure, and compliant cloud-native platforms.
  • Proven track record in designing and managing multi-tenant systems on AWS.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud, Big data and Analytics ecosystem (Airflow, Spark, Python, Flink, AWS Batch, S3, Athena, ECS-Fargate, SQS).
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala.
  • Advanced skills in Terraform (IaC).
  • Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Strong CI/CD experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI/CD.
