Job Title: Banquet Coordinator

Description

The Banquet Coordinator is responsible for the successful execution of banquets and events at our hotel. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Event Preparation: Ensure all event details are accurate and up-to-date, including menus, seating arrangements, and audio-visual equipment.
  • Communication: Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Sales and Inquiries: Respond to banquet and catering sales inquiries, route them to the appropriate sales manager, and follow up on leads.
  • Cost Control: Work closely with the Banquet Manager to ensure all aspects of the event are cost-effective and meet client needs.
  • Tour and Inspection: Conduct regular tours and inspections of banquet rooms and presentations to ensure high standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree or diploma in hotel management or business administration.
  • Advanced computer skills, including knowledge of hotel software/PMS or sales and catering software.
  • Minimum 1-2 years' work experience as a Sales Coordinator or Banquet Coordinator in a luxury or full-service hotel.

  • Knowledgeable in negotiating and sales.
  • Confident in presenting presentations.
