
Food Service Operations Director

Job Overview:
The Restaurant and Bar Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of a restaurant or bar, guaranteeing that all aspects of service meet high standards. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills, be able to multitask with ease, and have an in-depth understanding of hospitality management principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Alignment: Ensure that food and beverage activities are aligned with corporate objectives and implemented accordingly.
- Departmental Operations: Oversee preparation and update of individual departmental operations manuals to maintain efficiency and productivity.
- Divisional Communications: Conduct regular divisional communications meetings and ensure that departmental briefings and meetings are effective and well-organized.
- Guest Service Delivery: Ensure that all employees deliver exceptional guest service at all times, maintaining a culture of excellence and customer satisfaction.
- Complaint Resolution: Handle guest and internal customer complaints and inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, providing timely resolutions to issues.
- Team Collaboration: Establish and maintain positive guest and colleague interactions, promoting a harmonious work environment.
- Service Quality: Verify that guests are receiving the best possible service, maintaining high standards of quality and attention to detail.
- Outlet Performance: Monitor service and food and beverage standards in the outlet, making adjustments as necessary to optimize performance.
- Inventory Management: Assist in inventory management and ongoing maintenance of hotel operating equipment and other assets, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Cost Management: Manage costs proactively based on key performance indicators, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to optimize expenses.
- Employee Development: Develop employee skills and abilities through training, coaching, and mentoring, fostering a culture of growth and development.
- Training Programs: Plan and implement effective training programs for employees, enhancing their knowledge and competencies.
- Innovation Encouragement: Encourage employees to be creative and innovative, embracing new ideas and approaches to enhance business outcomes.
