Job Overview:

The Director of Food Safety is responsible for overseeing quality control processes to ensure compliance with regulations and customer expectations. This role involves ensuring the highest quality of products from raw materials to finished goods, while driving continuous improvement in production and safety processes.

Main Responsibilities:Quality Assurance Management:
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies to maintain certifications and compliance with industry standards.
  • Develop protocols for raw material inspection, in-process control, and finished product testing.
  • Ensure proper documentation of all quality control processes and procedures for internal and external audits.
Process Monitoring:
  • Supervise a team to monitor and evaluate the production process, ensuring consistency and safety.
  • Implement corrective actions for quality deviations or non-conformities.
  • Collaborate with R&D and production teams to address quality-related issues and innovate solutions.
Team Leadership:
  • Manage and mentor staff to maintain high standards and awareness of quality and safety.
  • Foster a culture of quality throughout the organization.

To succeed in this position, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Master's degree preferred).
  • 8+ years of experience in quality control, preferably in the food industry.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and quality control methods.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
